A Glorious Monday
Mondays are our day off, and while they can include a myriad of things, the most common thread they share is relaxation.
Today was no exception! The sun was shining gloriously so we set out on a walk through our beautiful city with iPod in hand to catch some of the scenes.
The water was just so crystal-clear today, which was lovely to see. It’s always nice when the ocean isn’t murky and filled with garbage, right??
This is by far my favourite tree on our route along the outer harbour:
Isn’t it majestic? I love Arbutus trees.
The inner harbour was enjoyable as well as the boats were all lit up by the bright sunshine.
I also got to walk hand-in-hand with my favourite person in the whole world.
We decided to try Sitka for lunch, which is a “speciality shop” that sells clothes and also has a cafe.
It has a very cool down-to-earth, recycled vibe about it.
Their food was delish too! Peter had “The Great Plate” which was a variety of cheeses (cheddar, brie, boursin), hummus, some greens and tomato w/ balsamic, and naan and crackers. I had the tomato/onion/lentil soup with naan on the side. Both were yummy and we enjoyed sharing tastes from each other’s choices.
And now I’m about to go and enjoy our Monday Movie Night with this handsome man:
It’s his night to choose the movie so we’ll see what we end up watching! Probably 1 of 2 things: 1.) something to do with terrorists or 2.) something to do with the end of the world…
Happy Monday!
