The Beauty of the Mountains [+ a blogiversary giveaway!]
I absolutely LOVE the beauty of Vancouver Island.
We set out to hike Mt. Finlayson, and I was definitely stoked to have accomplished the hike (although, my calves might not be right now…):
There were some tricky spots where I truly felt like I was rock climbing. It was a great work-out, and we had perfect weather for it!
And when we got to the top, we enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch of soft cheese sandwiches (with specialty cheese spreads from our friend Aziz!), dolmatis, water, and oranges. Perfection.

Now, for the giveaway! It’s my blog’s 3rd birthday today! I love the people in my tiny town. I love how kind and helpful and warm and welcoming the people are. I`ve always lived in cities where people generally keep to themselves, but in this tiny town people stop you on the street to chat. I love it.

Winnipeg is such an awesome city! I love the community, I love the vibe, I love the attractions (the Forks is the greatest!), I love that most of my family lives here, I love how beautiful it looks from an airplane, and I absolutely love that God is gonna do something BIG here soon! :)
I love see Mt. Rainier and doing hikes around the park. Hope to get out more this summer!

I’m sure I love a lot of the same things about the island as you do ;) Dallas & I have been going for a lot of walks & hikes lately, just because the weather has been so perfect! Finally the sun is out. I think I especially love living so close to the ocean. Never again will I be able to move away from it!

I love living in Victoria! The scenery is beautiful and I especially LOVE the arbutus trees, they are the most beautiful things to look at! I am truly loving living here and enjoying all of BC’s beauty.

I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the whole world, Vancouver, and in the most wonderful neighborhood in the world, the Downtown Eastside. I love my neighborhood for so many reasons, but mainly because it’s so easy to get to know people. People start talking to me while I am waiting for the crosswalk light to change, and we are good friends by the time we’ve walked a couple of blocks together, and it’s completely not weird for me to come visit them in their home. Plus, have you seen the architecture in DTES Vancouver? Forget about it!

What’s not to love about Fernie – the mountains, when the sky is blue and it’s like being in a beautiful bowl, the people are very warm and friendly, lots of fun shops and a great looking main street…I could go on….

I love the restaurants! There are so many different choices for foods and we now have food trucks in our city so it’s terrific! It is great being a foodie here.
