My Thursday
On Thursday I did something I haven’t done in a while…I ventured out of the house for an entire day.
Yup – an entire day. My life is that exhilarating, folks!
I kid, I kid. I have had lots of days out of the house in the last month. However, this was one of the few entirely fulllllll long days. I was up at 5:30 a.m. (YUCK!) and Peter and I drove my mom to work (okay, she really drove) and then we were on our way downtown to the school where Peter is studying right now.
Due to having to drop my mom off so early (by 6:30 a.m.) and the fact that there’s basically no traffic on the roads at that time, we arrived at his school at 7:00 a.m.(ish). So we wandered around, he gave me a tour, and we sat looking at pictures of places we want to visit this coming year. Jordan, anyone? Oh, and we recently discovered that Jordan is making a Star Trek Theme Park. Umm…YES!! Sweet goodness I’m nerdishly excited for 2014…
Anyway, for the morning portion while Peter was in class I settled into the lounge area and hung out on the couches blogging, e-mailing, and watching an episode of Parenthood online (I’m in season 2). I mostly love it because of Lauren Graham and my attachment to Gilmore Girls.
Around lunchtime I headed to a nearby mall to meet up with my pal Elaina and her two kiddos. We circled the mall, chatted, popped in and out of stores and enjoyed some Thai food for lunch. It was pretty great!!
While we were in the mall Landon decided to do a little light reading:
But by far the favourite event was the riding of the various cars and merry-go-rounds!
We said our “farewells” and I headed back to the school to meet up with Peter and we eventually drove home for a quick dinner. And then we were off again!
We headed out to Hamilton to go to Home Church. On our way we drove through our old campus of McMaster University to see what had changed. There are tons of new buildings, and most notably for us, a new GO station set-up. For those not from this area, There are GO buses and trains and we took the GO bus for all of university. It’s like a coach bus that took us from a commuter lot near(ish) to our home all the way to the campus. When we were in university there was no fancy schmancy set-up like they have now – they just dumped us off in the parking lot to walk. This is waaaaay better.
We had a fun time driving around together all day – even during the thunder, lightning and rain!!!! We were super stoked for the thunder and lightning because we just didn’t have any of that on the island.
How was your Thursday?

Sounds like you guys had fun … Love the picture of you guys in the car together!
It was a long, but fun day.
