A New Direction: Jaclyn
If you’re wondering what all this “New Direction” business is about, just check out these previous posts which will get you up to speed:
The basic gist of this whole series is giving up your old lifestyle of yucky, processed, fast foods and trading them up for yummy, made from scratch, healthy alternatives that will give you more energy, make you feel great and expand your horizons!
So far, the folks listed above have taken on my challenge, and it’s been fantastic to be a part of their journey from afar! I’m so proud of each of them.
Now here is my little disclaimer as a reminder: I am not a nutritionst. I’m not a doctor. I’m not a dietician. And I do NOT know everything about eating habits and all that jazz. But I DO know what I’ve read, and what I have personally experienced in my own life, and so I go off of that. But again, don’t take my advice as a medical doctor or anything…I’m just not that good! ;)
This challenge was most recently taken up Jaclyn who lives in Manitoba! Jaclyn is in school to be a pastor/officer like myself, and so I know that she’s incredibly busy, always on the run and juggling a million and one things! She was also wanting to try and cook some more meals from scratch.
I asked Jaclyn the basic questions I ask everyone, and really she does quite well with her eating! Her biggest downfalls are pop and some packaged foods. Not bad, though! So along with eating only foods she made and knew what was in (no proessed, pre-packaged stuff!), giving up her pop and drinking more water, she had to do 30 mins. of exercise each day. With that said, here’s Jaclyn:
You can check out Jaclyn’s progress on her blog as she kept track of her week of my challenge! She posted some great pics, and talked about the ups and downs of the whole process. Pop on over to her blog, and give her some love! Here are the posts…
This meal does not appear appetitzing
If you, or someone you know, is interested in taking part in this challenge, I’d encourage you to leave me a comment or send me a message. I’d love to help you and your family eat healthier!

Best of luck Jaclyn. Hope it works out for you. We all have to be more healthy if we’re going to survive officership.
